I am Puerto Rican, born in Puerto Rico, grew up in Chicago
and now moved to AZ and it's a pleasure to see those receipes on your
web site to that people can enjoy and see that Puerto Rican Food is
the best. There are no Puerto Rican Restaurants here in AZ. I am fortunate
that my husband grows gandules, hasitos dulces and recao here,_becase
the spices are very hard to find. Happy Criolla cooking-Chao!Nery

My family has moved away after my father passed away about 10 years
ago and the only time I get to eat homemade Puerto Rican food is when
my mother visits me. Now because of your easy to follow recepies I
can do it myself. Can you include a recepie for lechon asado? Thank
you!

Sheila, We'll be posting the recipe for "Habichuelas Guisadas"
next - translated it means 'Stewed Beans'. It's actually the second
half of the Puerto Rican staple, "Arroz con Habichuelas" (Rice and
Beans)! You'll definitely love it! - Check back in about a week.

I want to thank Elsie for introducing me to your site. I hope to
enjoy such epicurian delights with the fire, flavor and passion that
such Puerto Rico relects in it's food as soon as I can get a break
from work to visit your country. What do you have that goes with potatoes?
"I have made a lot of mistakes falling in love, and regretted most
of them, but never the potatoes that went with them."- Nora Ephron,
"Heartburn". Speaking of love and food, and a man who was known to
enjoy everything about it. He was one quoted as saying..."My doctor
told me to stop having intimate dinners for four. Unless there are
three other people." Orson Welles Thank you for the introduction to
your countries receipes. I suppose I can substitute aguacates for
papas fritas.
