Ingredients:

1/4 Cup of fine Corn Meal
2 cups of water
1
Cup of grated cheese (Cheddar,
Monterey Jack, or Fontina)

Teaspoon of salt

In a saucepan, bring the water and salt to a boil.

Remove from heat.
3- Add the corn meal and stir well.

Add the grated cheese and mix again.

Let this cool for approximately 20-30 minutes.

Once cool, use a spoon and place 3 - 4 Tablespoons of
the mixture into the palm of your hand, and form a
stick 3 - 4 inches long- similar to a short cigar.

Repeat until you have used up the mixture.
8-
Fry several at a time in hot vegetable oil until golden
brown.
9-
Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
7-Serve
hot.
